Plot: Comedy: After secretly assuming the role of an actress on a soap opera, a perfectionist actor must deal with the effect he has on his friends, co-workers and growing base of fans. (Parental review not available)

AUDIO/VIDEO ELEMENTS:
Available in both widescreen and full screen (pan & scan) mode, the film's image is okay, but not as sharp as one would probably like or expect. Although the picture appeared to get better as time passed (particularly in scenes sets in the brightly lit outdoors), that may have been due as much to getting pulled into the story as any improvement in the image. Some graininess is present at times, and color reproduction - while decent - isn't as vibrant as is the case with most other DVD releases. As far as the audio is concerned, it's mostly dialogue driven with a few unremarkable sound effects, but the score and title song do sound good.
EXTRAS:
  • Scene selection/Jump to any scene.
  • Filmographies for director Sydney Pollack and stars Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Lange and Bill Murray.
  • Theatrical trailers for "Groundhog Day," "Ghostbusters" and "Hook."
  • Brief production notes on glossy DVD case insert.
